Welcome to SAHASH, an NGO dedicated to improving the livelihood of the poorest in society and to help them. On February 12, 2006, SAHASH launched the READ Program with a vision to eradicate poverty from this country.

Child Protection and Education

SAHASH works for poor children living in rural and urban sectors, belonging to families living under the poverty line. SAHASH also works for orphaned children.more

Human Rights and Humanity

SAHASH believes that all human beings are born free and equal in rights and dignity. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act in helping each other towards health and dignity.more

Rural Development

SAHASH is engaged in a Rapid Development Initiative to establish an agenda for land reform in India. SAHASH is also working closely with Indian policy makers and international donors to resolve land issues for the benefit of the poorest.more

Environmental

In India the main source of energy for the development of many industries which utilize electricity is petroleum fuel but at a certain point of time in future this fuel is likely to be extinct so there is a need to conserve existing energy resources. more

Agricultural Development

Agriculture is the main source of income for the major section of society, providing employment to the most number of people & plays the most important role in the economy of India. Even today about 65% of the Indian populationmore

Women's Empowerment

The need of our time is to improve the livelihoods of rural people. Towards this end SAHASH has forged and worked upon the agenda of empowering rural women as effective development workers.more
